Hospitality Ministry

"Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it." (Hebrews 13:2)

Welcoming congregations are made up of welcoming people, where everyone extends  hospitality. In the lives of God’s people in the Bible, hospitality was a response to the very welcoming nature of God. Just as Jesus welcomed and was welcomed by many, The First Church of Seventh-day Adventists seeks to include all into our church family by extending ourselves in hospitality.

Today, most churches enjoy the opportunity to fellowship and eat a meal together. The Hospitality Ministry stands ready to serve by planning and preparing meals for fellowship gatherings, programs, and special events. When we sit down and break bread with each other, we exchange the gift of friendship, acceptance, and inclusion in God's community.

In addition to a friendly smile and handshake, true hospitality involves people loving and serving others for the joy of doing so, without expecting anything in return. We extend God's hospitality to all.
