Prison Ministry

Mission Statement:

To teach the everlasting gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as symbolized by the Three Angels of Revelation 14, to offenders and ex-offenders and their families throughout the territory of the Allegheny East Conference, with specific focus within the Greater District of Columbia territory as assigned by Allegheny East Conference.

 

Purpose:

  • To develop, strengthen and expand Prison Evangelism within the Allegheny East Conference territory, as assigned.
  • To provide an opportunity to church members for fellowship as prison ministry workers.
  • To actively participate within the Greater Washington DC Chapter in the coordination and implementation of programs witnessing to offenders, ex-offenders and their families to become Jesus disciples.

 

Jurisdictions:

There are six Chapters organized within the geographic territory and under its jurisdiction of Allegheny East Conference; namely, "Bay Area", "Delaware Valley", "District of Columbia", "Baltimore Extended", "North New Jersey", and "Virginia/West Virginia". The policies and practices of each Chapter must harmonize with the established policies and procedures as outlined in the Allegheny East Prison Ministry Federation Constitution and By-Laws.

 

Structure:

The Allegheny East Conference Seventh-Day-Adventist Federation of Prison Ministry is an active operational ministry within the Allegheny East Conference, which coordinated by Mrs. Edith E. Tucker of Baltimore as President.
