Pastor, Dr. Mark A. McCleary

Pastor McCleary's pastoral experience began in 1974 after receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Theology with a minor in history from Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama. He also completed studies for his Master of Divinity degree in 1978 from Andrews University Theological Seminary, Berrien Springs, Michigan, and his Doctor of Ministry degree from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1998 and is currently pursing a Doctorate in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from NOVA Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  

 

Pastor McCleary continued to gain experience in spiritual leadership through the years beginning in 1974 as an Associate Evangelist in Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City, Kansas, and continuing to culminate currently as Senior Pastor of this outstanding edifice. Since coming to Washington, D.C., Dr. McCleary has been affiliated with the Faith-Based Community Association Partnership (FBCAP), for which he is currently President, and the Metro Area Ministerium of Seventh-day Adventists.

 

Pastor McCleary has written several publications, A Guide to Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts, and his pending publications: "Gospel Presentation", "A Comprehensive Study Guide: Back to Basics", and "A Study Guide and Workbook: Daniel and Revelation", are soon to be published.

 

Pastor McCleary is the loving husband of Queenie and their union has been blessed with two sons, Brian and Michael, and a daughter, Michelle. Pastor McCleary's sincere goal is to be a role model of Christian values in order to inspire positive life style transformation in others. He has inspired this congregation to be FAT- Faithful, Available, and Teachable.
