Help Wanted - Needed Choreographers for Liturgical Dance Ministry. If you are gifted with the knowledge, skill and ability to worship through movement, we have a place for you. Please contact the Minister of Music, Deborah Jeffries (202) 829-2075, ext. 10.

Christian Education Opportunities: There is financial assistance available for our students who will be attending GE Peters, Dupont Park, Takoma Academy, or Pine Forge Academy this academic year.  Please see Yvonne Curry Smallwood for details.

Additional Education News Flash: This year there also is a special one-time assistance available for new students who will be entering GE Peters (GEP) for the academic school year 2010-2011.  Up to 50% of your child’s tuition could be paid through this incentive if you are among the first five students to apply.  To learn more about this program and get an application for GEP, please contact Pastor McCleary.

Tutors Wanted - In an effort to provide academic support and tutorial assistance to the young ladies of Circle of Sisterhood, we are in need of tutors in all subjects/content areas – English, statistics, algebra, geometry, calculus, chemistry, physics, biology, Spanish, and  French; just to name a few. You assistance is needed so our youth can continue to excel in school as they do in their church activities. The FCSDA Communications Department is looking for small business owners who are interested in advertising on the First Church website. Traffic on our site averages over 90,000 hits per month and can be a inexpensive way to advertise your business. If interested email communications@fcsda.org.

The Usher Board is actively recruiting for new members.  If you have a Christian attitude and love helping people, this may be the ministry for you.  Please see Sister King or any usher if you are interested in joining this rewarding ministry.

The Cradle Roll Department is in need of volunteer teachers and assistants. Those who are interested please contact Latoya Strickland. You may call the church at 202.829.2075 for contact information.

The FCSDA Nursing Team is available every first Sabbath of the month to do blood pressure measurements, immediately following Divine Worship. The team will be available for 45 minutes. See Ira Brown or Vivian Walker.
